Two Summits, One Himalayan Journey

Deep in the Markha Valley, Kang Yatse I and Kang Yatse II rise as twin giants above the Ladakhi skyline, offering one of the most rewarding double-summit challenges in the Indian Himalayas.

The expedition begins with a gradual trek through traditional villages like Sara, Markha, and Hankar, allowing the body to adapt to altitude before reaching Base Camp.

The first summit attempt is Kang Yatse II, a non-technical 6,250m peak that serves as an acclimatization and endurance test.

After recovery at Base Camp, climbers move higher onto glacier terrain for the technical ascent of Kang Yatse I, involving fixed ropes, snow slopes, and alpine climbing techniques.

This expedition tests endurance, recovery speed, and technical climbing ability, making it ideal preparation for higher Himalayan peaks.

With certified guides, structured acclimatization, and buffer days, the expedition maximizes safety and summit success on both peaks.

Why This Is a Serious Double-Summit Challenge

Two 6000m Summits

Climbing both Kang Yatse II and Kang Yatse I requires endurance and strong acclimatization.

Technical Second Summit

Kang Yatse I involves glacier travel, fixed ropes, and technical climbing.

High-Altitude Recovery

Short recovery period between two summit pushes tests endurance.

Long Summit Days

Both summits involve early alpine starts and sustained climbing.

Remote Alpine Terrain

Once past Hankar, the expedition enters a remote high-altitude environment.
