The Ascent of Papsura Peak

Papsura Peak rises sharply above the Parvati Valley, forming one of the most demanding technical summits in the Indian Himalayas.

The expedition begins from Manali and approaches the remote Chatru region before trekking across glaciers and moraine terrain to Base Camp.

Higher camps are established on icy slopes and exposed ridges as climbers gradually gain altitude and acclimatize.

Summit day involves steep snow and ice climbing, glacier navigation, and long hours of sustained technical effort.

Known as the ‘Peak of Evil’ for its challenging terrain, Papsura demands strong mountaineering skills and mental resilience.

Guided by certified high-altitude professionals, the expedition follows strict safety protocols and structured acclimatization.

Why Papsura Peak Is an Advanced Technical Challenge

Steep Ice & Snow Slopes

Summit route includes steep icefields and snow slopes requiring advanced climbing skills.

Glacier Navigation

Climbers traverse crevassed glaciers and exposed alpine terrain.

High-Altitude Exposure

Long Technical Summit Day

Summit push can take 10–12 hours over demanding terrain.

Remote Alpine Environment
