Despite these harsh conditions, the White Expedition team successfully reached the summit of Kiager Ri in winter without establishing multiple high camps, completing the climb in a fast and efficient style.

About Kiager Ri Peak
Kiager Ri is a beautiful 6100-meter peak located in the remote Changthang region of Ladakh in northern India. The mountain stands close to the famous high-altitude lake Tso Moriri and the traditional village of Korzok.
Kiager Ri has become one of the most attractive expedition peaks in Ladakh because it offers:

6 Day Kiager Ri Winter Expedition (Leh to Leh)
This winter expedition followed a fast and efficient 6-day Leh to Leh itinerary.
Day 1 – Arrival in Leh
The expedition started in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. The team arrived and spent the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude of around 3500 meters.
Acclimatization is extremely important before attempting a 6000-meter peak.
Day 2 – Drive from Leh to Korzok
The team drove from Leh towards the remote village of Korzok, located on the shores of Tso Moriri.
This long but beautiful drive crosses the high altitude Changthang plateau. The region is known for its vast landscapes, frozen lakes, and nomadic culture.
After reaching Korzok, the team stayed in a traditional local homestay.
Day 3 – Acclimatization at Korzok Homestay
The third day was dedicated to acclimatization around Korzok village.
The team spent the day hiking in the surrounding hills, checking equipment, and preparing for the summit attempt.
Staying at the homestay helped the team stay warm and comfortable during the harsh winter conditions.
Day 4 – Preparation Day at Korzok
Another day was spent at the Korzok homestay to ensure proper acclimatization before climbing the mountain.
The team studied the route on Kiager Ri, prepared climbing gear, and monitored weather conditions.
Winter climbing requires patience and careful planning.
Day 5 – Summit Day (Kiager Ri 6100m)
The summit push started very early in the morning.
The team moved directly from Korzok towards the slopes of Kiager Ri under cold and windy conditions.
The climb involved long snow slopes and steady altitude gain across the frozen mountain terrain.
After hours of climbing, the team successfully reached the 6100-meter summit of Kiager Ri, completing one of the rare winter ascents of the mountain.
The summit offered breathtaking views of Tso Moriri, the Changthang plateau, and the endless white landscapes of Ladakh.
After celebrating the achievement, the team safely descended back to Korzok village.
Day 6 – Drive Back to Leh
On the final day, the team drove back from Korzok to Leh, completing a successful 6-day winter expedition.
